Monday: Today we went to art and read a story about Matreska dolls and made Matreska dolls. Our new star letter is Oo and our popcorn word is see. In math we practiced estimating the number of dimes in a jar. We also counted by 2s. We wrote in our journal about our weekends. We are practicing our long and short vowel sounds this week. Today we went to music and practiced for our musical.
Tuesday: Today in math we practiced dividing a group in half. We went to music and practiced for the musical. We practiced identifying the long vowels in words and using the silent e. Today we went to the LMC and read Boo to a Goose by Mem Fox. We also read Owen and wrote what the solution was in the story. Wednesday: We went on the stage and practiced for the musical. We went to P.E. and went outside to play fitness tag. We read Olivia and completed a paper about what Olivia sees, does, feels and thinks in the story. Today we went to art and we made our own Matreska dolls. We had math centers and did activities with coins, measuring, graphing and number grids. We sorted words by their vowel sounds.
Thursday: Today it was the last day of practice for the musical. Tomorrow is our musical. Today we went to P.E. and played with the fitness dice. We made a project with our sight word “see.” Today in math we played a game called “Read my Mind.” We practiced our opposites by making a flip book and we read two opposite books. At R&R we read Happy St. Patrick’s Day Clifford.Friday: We had an extra recess today. Today we wrote in our journal about the musical. Finally we had our musical today and got to do a dance with our mom or dad or grandma. We read Clever Tom and the Leprechaun and wrote what we would do with a pot of gold. We also read The Night Before St. Patrick’s Day. We made words from the “og” word family.
