The public library has great books for kindergartners to read independently.  These books have many of our sight words and helpful picture clues to assist students in determining unknown words.  Students should be reading at home daily in order to improve fluency and confidence with this new skill.  Scholastic is also a great place to find “just right” books for kindergartners.
