Tuesday: We played outside for recess. Today the teacher read Is Your Mama a Llama? and we compared asking and telling sentences. We learned that authors write about things they know and love.
Wednesday: Today we learned the short O sound. We had P.E. with Mr. Popovich. We had social centers today. Mrs. Horsey came to our classroom and we practiced using deductive reasoning.
Thursday: We learned about Johnny Appleseed today. Our sound for today was short U. We can remember the short u sound by thinking of putting up an umbrella. We practiced reading during Daily 5 for 5 minutes!
Friday: We learned about the Constitution. We read a book of the Pledge of Allengiance. We also learned the Ll sound. Today we read the story A Day at the Apple Orchard.
